WebDec 30, 2011 · The 1.9 is listed as 80,000 miles or 4 years, but the problem with the 1.9 isn't really the timing belt its the water pump seizing, some have had their pumps seizing @ less than 40k miles and taking the timing belt with it,I think there was a updated water pump available for them but not sure what year it was introduced.
