Now: my experience with echo knight is purely been with an ancestral guardian/echo knight MC which is just a wonderful and tactically engaging ranged control tank against one, or perhaps two strong foes. Say you are a medium creature and you want to grapple something gargantuan, like the Tarrasque. Using a potion of growth, you can make the echo knight Large. Then, they would manifest their echo which is also Large.

There are a few extra attacks as well, and at higher level the echo can become a pretty interesting spy, though that might not be relevant to the OP.
WebApr 30, 2024 · You cannot grapple objects. Grappling specifies that it must target a creature. Echoes are objects. Therefore, you cannot grapple an echo. (Can't everyone move while grappling?) I guess if the echo can, you could grapple a creature, make it hover 30 feet up in the air, and then drop the creature to do falling damage. WebThanks for taking the time to answer ! Actually no, Echo Knight needs to use 15' of it's movement to swap places with it's echo, and it has 0' movement while grappled. So can't escape that way. It can save a bit of movement getting up from Prone however by using it's bonus action. Ohhh, you're right !
