It sources are not, or not simply, those thrown up by the legal process; nor, commonly, is its focus the law. In so far as it might be said to be the history of law in action, it is the action that matters. WebReception refers to the willing adoption of a legal system by a community that already has an existing legal system. If the community is not willing to adopt a legal system, that legal system is imposed. If there is not yet an existing legal system, the new legal system is transplanted.22.
