This practice is unique to universities in the United States and is too controversial to be a regular practice in other places throughout the world. WebPenn can abandon legacy preference if they want, obvs, but alum have been told forever that their kids MUST apply ED if they want a legacy bump. If there’s no more legacy preference, let the alumni know so their kids can make informed decisions about whether to apply ED.
